Yes, it will under certain circumstances. The updates that occur in Storyboard and Timeline views occur in the background, in a separate thread, and will therefore leverage a 2nd processor. Playback in Edit, Capture, and Trim as well as Export/IEEE 1394 use separate threads for each I/O channel: disk, IEEE 1394, audio/video. Also, you can run Export and FX Render in the background by simply leaving that mode to use another mode. Finally, you can put '-M 2' in the Export/MPEG/Advanced/Video Pipe field to tell mpeg2enc to use 2 threads.
