Today, I released version 0.9.4 of Kino. I had hoped this to be the last release before 1.0. However, since I put in such a last big effort to flesh-out and polish for the big 1.0, there were quite a bit of changes. I will see if any major problems have been introduced and perhaps introduce a 0.9.5 before the 1.0. It all depends.

There are so many exciting things in 0.9.4 that I can not wait to show you. I recently have been playing around with DemoRecorder for making screencasts, and I plan to make one over the holiday break. I also plan to add more tutorial screencasts and add to the manual throughout 2007

The forthcoming 1.0 release milestone marks an end to active development on this generation of Kino. I will be working on MLT mostly in 2007. This could someday rejuvenate Kino, but I expect kdenlive to benefit the most for now.
